1970s Milo Baughman for Thayer Coggin Swivel Chaise in Mongolian Sheepskin

$15,000.00

An exceptional 1970s swivel chaise designed by Milo Baughman for Thayer Coggin, newly restored and reimagined by Casa de Barcelona in a plush Mongolian sheepskin. Baughman’s elongated swivel chaise is defined by a continuous, undulating profile that moves from a low rolled footrest into a dramatically raised back. The entire form has been upholstered in long haired Mongolian sheepskin in a warm natural color that emphasizes the chaise’s curves, while giving the piece a new and modern presence.

The chaise rests on its original circular gold plated swivel base. The minimal base nearly disappears beneath the upholstered body, allowing the substantial chaise to appear suspended above the floor while providing a full swivel function. The contrast between Baughman’s sleek 1970s profile, the polished gold plated base and the deeply textured natural sheepskin transforms an already distinctive Thayer Coggin design into a singular Casa de Barcelona piece.
